The Dogs Behind the Lineage
Every Tapua pup carries eight generations of carefully selected lineage. These are the dogs that anchor it — our breeding stock and the placed pups now working as Assistance Dogs across Australia. Health-tested, Dogs Australia-registered, and bred for the temperament that holds up on the job and settles at home.

MEET OUR CURRENT AND FUTURE PRODUCERS
Our stud dogs and dams are the foundation of every Tapua litter. Each one is fully health-screened — hip and elbow scored, DNA profiled across the three known Labrador conditions, and selected as much for temperament as for conformation. Hover or tap each dog to see their pedigree, achievements, and the litters they’ve contributed to.

Nova is a diabetes alert dog for his young T1D charge. His primary role is to alert at night as T1D is particularly unstable at night, he will pick up on his owners DSL drops and will alert the parents to test for low BSL's. He is very reliable. We can imprint the T1D scent on her from 5 weeks of age.

Bringing Home a Tapua Pup
A Tapua pup is a long-term commitment. We place puppies into homes and programs that match the temperament and drive each pup carries — and we work alongside trainers, organisations and families to make sure each placement succeeds. Here’s how it works.
Application & Conversation
Every placement starts with a conversation. We ask about your goals, your training partner or organisation, your home environment, and the role you're hoping the pup will fill. There are no rushed decisions on either side.
Matching to Temperament
We don't sell to first-come, first-served. Each pup in a litter is temperament-tested from week four, and we match individuals to placements based on drive, focus, sociability, and "switch-off" — the qualities that separate a confident working dog from one who'll struggle on the job.
Health & Lineage Transparency
Every pup leaves with full ANKC papers, hip and elbow scores from both parents, DNA profile, microchip, vaccinations, and four generations of pedigree. You see what you're getting.
Lifetime Support
Our relationship doesn't end at pickup. We stay in touch with every placement — celebrating successes, troubleshooting challenges, and welcoming any Tapua pup back home if circumstances change. That's a non-negotiable for us.
Looking for a Tapua Pup?
Tapua pups are placed carefully — temperament-matched to the role and home where they’ll thrive. We have no available litters right now, but the waitlist is open. We also work with two trusted partner kennels for buyers whose timeline doesn’t line up with ours.
